Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

At Orbis Wild ("we", "us", or "our"), accessible from https://orbiswild.com, the privacy of our visitors is of extreme importance to us. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected by Orbis Wild and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

Log Files & Analytics: Like many other websites, Orbis Wild makes use of log files and edge analytics (via Cloudflare). The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information. It is not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

Comments (Giscus): Our comment system is powered by Giscus, which leverages GitHub Discussions. When you leave a comment, you must authenticate through GitHub. We do not store your GitHub credentials, email, or personal data on our servers. Your public GitHub profile and comment data are subject to GitHub's Privacy Statement.

Local Storage: We use your browser's local storage strictly to save your UI preferences (such as Light or Dark mode). We do not use this to track your web activity.

2. Cookies and Web Beacons

Orbis Wild does not use traditional tracking cookies to store information about visitors' preferences or to record user-specific information on which pages the site visitor accesses. However, third-party services integrated into our site (like GitHub via Giscus) may use cookies to function properly.

3. Third-Party Privacy Policies

Our Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt out of certain options.

4. Children's Information

We believe it is important to provide added protection for children online. Orbis Wild does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian believes that Orbis Wild has in its database the personally-identifiable information of a child under the age of 13, please contact us immediately, and we will use our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

5. Consent

By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its Terms and Conditions.
